A good place to head for a boogie at the end of the night if you are that way inclined. The music upstairs was pretty good and you could still have a conversation. A bit of a sticky floor vibe!

We Say

The Setting

Right behind Liverpool St and surrounded by tall office buildings, the Queen of Hoxton stands out in the middle of this corporate world.

The Atmosphere

The Queen of Hoxton owns a big corner house and their venue spreads over 3 floors. The ground floor is usually quiet until Thursdays, whilst they’re Moroccan themed rooftop starts getting a crowd mid-week! With events happening almost every day such as live gigs, stand-up comedies, organised games and live DJs, this place is never empty. 3 floors, 3 ambiances: the ground floor gives us more of a pub/ busy bar kind of vibe whilst the basement is purely for the ‘big’ parties. Hundreds of Londoners meet up in that room every week to enjoy a bit of grooving with their raving partners. The rooftop is reserved for some chilled vibes around the fire pits or in the big Morrocan tent. So basically, the Queen of Hoxton got everybody sorted to do whatever they wish: raves for the party animals, drinks at the bar for the social ones and drinks around the fire pits for a good catch-up.

The Drinks

The Queen of Hoxton has a rather big menu: 3 floors, 3 different menus. However you are more than welcome to order your drinks on the ground floor for example and bring them on the rooftop. Just pick a drink and pick your vibe!

“THE QUEEN OF HOXTON PROVIDES A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING TO PLEASE AS MANY LONDONERS AS POSSIBLE. CHILL, SOCIAL OR RAVE. YOUR PICK! WE LIKE ALL 3 DEPENDING ON THE DAY AND TIME.”

They Say

Bar, nightclub, roof terrace, performance space and art gallery, Queen of Hoxton is a staple of the East End’s cultural fabric

Queen of Hoxton is best know for our rooftop bar, where we complelty change the décor food and drinks every six months into a new immersive theme. In the Winter we have firepits and a cosy Wigwam on the rooftop, in the summer we have headphone disco parties and boozy slushy cocktails. The ground floor plays host to fun club nights at the weekends and free events like drag bingo every Wedensday. The Queen’s alter ego appears in the basement bar; dark and a little twisted. The space and its Funktion One sound system caters for her every whim hosting cutting edge gigs and sweaty raves, as well as immersive cabaret events and comedy shows.

Roof closed except for smokers at night. Don't allow you to bring drinks up either and bouncers harass you to leave if you're not smoking.

The place is nice but badly managed for years. Too many rules and random opening times etc. There are plenty of better rooftops in London, choose wisely!
