We Say

The Setting

Located on leafy and quiet Fulham High Street and just five minutes walk from both local tube stations you might not expect to be drawn out this far west to find the sunshine party which prevails at King’s Head & Courtyard. The clue is in the name though and while it might take you a few moments to locate this sneakily hidden bar, you should definitely persevere. There is a wonderful dark and lush bar which is very designed with very quirky touches and offers a place to dance by night, but it is the fabulous courtyard which really brings the magic to this location. Push through the bar area down a corridor of sparkling trees and you find a fully-decked courtyard which offers tables, booths and a fully stocked bar. This place is equipped to serve all year round and still bring the party.

The Atmosphere

First thing to mention about coming to the King’s Head & Courtyard were the wonderful staff here who have made a great venue and seem determined to make sure everybody goes home happy at the end of every night. Sounds simple, but is often forgot in this competitive world. This Bar is definitely the place to party in West London and gives the bright lights of the big city a run for its money also. It is quieter earlier on, but the DJ pops up around 9 and then all hell breaks loose. Bottomless Brunches provide the Saturday afternoon entertainment and the courtyard is the star of the show. Whether its winter or summer sun, I dare you not to have a good time here.

The Drinks

With a bar so intent on providing great customer service and a party spirit, the drinks need to be comparable, and they are. This place specialises on Cocktails so don’t be surprised if the wine/beer offerings are a bit limited, no problem they still offer a reasonable selection.

The cocktails are something to talk about though, the menu offers an eclectic mix of interesting interpretations of classic drinks and we found them to be fresh, original and good value. It was most pleasing to see that they were more than happy to mix drinks not on the menu, as any bartender worth their salt should be happy to do, and the resulting Negroni was delicious.

“KING’S HEAD & COURTYARD BRINGS A FUN AND FRIVOLOUS PARTY EITHER IN OR OUTSIDE AT THIS ECLECTIC FULHAM BAR. IT IS A SUPERB DESTINATION WHEN THE SUN IS SHINING; KICKING BACK IN A BOOTH WHILST DRINKING DELIGHTFUL COCKTAILS AND THE DJ PLAYS… WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE”

They Say

When the king wants to rest, he retires to his inner sanctum, a sheltered oasis of familiarity where everything revolves around his favourite avocation – drinks and entertainment of imperial quality.

When asked to find the perfect realm for the king of the jungle mother nature dug her roots deep until she found her haven in the heart of bishop’s park. This is no ordinary kingdom – this is where nature meets mankind where everything is not as it seems a world so magical it will make you wish you never had to leave. This is heaven in hiding. Find your way through the concrete jungle and allow the king to put on a show the rest is just monkey business.
