The Setting

The Freemasons Arms is a lovely pub situated in Covent Garden. The interior is quite old fashioned but nicely decorated. There is a large area towards the back which is great for large groups and lots of tables for smaller groups. The historical feel of the interior makes you feel like you’ve stepped away from Covent Garden for a quiet moment.

The Atmosphere

This pub had quite a calm atmosphere and would be a nice place to have a few beers with some friends. The atmosphere becomes a lot louder when there is a sports game being televised but other than that it is quite relaxing and you can admire the setting or have a drink outside looking at the main road.

The Drinks

The Freemasons Arms has a great selection of beers and ales from Shepherd Neame, Britain’s oldest brewer based in Kent. Their range of quintessentially Kentish ales and award-winning lagers is brewed with the finest ingredients – chalk-filtered mineral water from their artesian well, the finest home-grown malting barley and Kentish hops. Featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, the pub serves a variety of authentic Kentish cask ales, as well as distinctive international lagers and a good selection of wines. The food is good value as well

The Freemasons Arms was built during the reign of Queen Victoria and has a great place in history.

It was here that the Football Association met in 1863 to thrash out the laws of a game now played in more than 200 countries across the globe, and we celebrate this connection with a fine array of soccer memorabilia in the downstairs bar. If you’re looking for excellent food and drink, this is the place to be! We serve delicious, traditional pub food and a great selection of authentic Kentish cask ales. We’re proud to say that we’ve been awarded a Cask Marque and we’ve been featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. We also cater for private functions. If you’re looking for a venue for a meeting, or want to celebrate a personal event, this is the perfect place to do so. You’ll find us in the heart of central London.
