We Say

The Setting

Whether it’s sunny and warm or bitter and cold, you will be able to use the Boundary Rooftop’s terrace. Very busy in the summer, less so in the winter but it is just as cosy up there thanks to their warm blankets, gazebos and industrial looking chimneys. Each visit promises a new journey.

The Atmosphere

Entirely built on top of their hotel roof, the Boundary over-looks the whole of Shoreditch. Split in half, you can enjoy a beautiful meal and delicious cocktails indoors with an outdoor feel as glass windows surround you. However, if you are feeling brave in winter, take your best friend or partner to go sit outside in front of one of their fireplaces and snuggle up under their warm blankets. You will not be disappointed! In summer, we like to think we could be on their terrace any day any time but as we all hate to admit, it is not the case. The indoor terrace is extremely useful all year round!

The Drinks

In December: winter, cold, fireplace… it is only natural to get their Vin Chaud to get in the Christmas spirit. Sipping mulled wine on top of one of the trendiest bars in London is much cooler than we expected. In July: summer, warm, busy terraces… We would go for the Alchemist: a fruity Gin cocktail that will freshen you up and make you jolly in no time.

“WITH THE CONTRIBUTION OF OVER 50 ARTISTS TO ITS DESIGN, THE BOUNDARY ROOFTOP IS ONE OF SHOREDITCH’S MOST HYPE HIGH-END BAR! ITS HEATED ORANGERY ATTRACTS VISITORS ALL YEAR ROUND.”

They Say

East London’s most popular rooftop garden and heated orangery attracts visitors all year round.

Boundary’s Rooftop offers a seafood, skewers and sharing menu. Our Glass Orangery protects against the elements but retains the fantastic views, allowing you to drink and eat all year-round. The Robata grill dominates the open kitchen serving a menu of sharing dishes and freshly grilled meat, fish and vegetables skewers reminiscent of a Mediterranean Summer BBQ.

A full dining menu is available in the evenings at Tratra restaurant located on the lower ground floor.

The view can best be described as looking at other rooftops of uninspiring buildings. Not very exciting, but of little importance if you're sunning yourself over expensive drinks and/or food.

Perfect on a sunny day. It might be a bit of a wait if you don’t have a reservation
