The Setting

Bar Elba, minutes away from Waterloo station is based on the theme of the Battle of Waterloo, just like its sister ‘Tonight Josephine’ located in the basement.

The Atmosphere

Bar Elba encompasses the post battle history theme, when Napoleon was exiled to the mediteranean on the island of Elba. But as some of you may remember from history class, he didn’t go on his own. That would have been too boring, he brought 600 of his best mates to spend his 300 days. 600, on an island, we all know how that would end up! Bar Elba tried to reproduce that party vibe that would have been going on. With a big 350 maximum capacity, full wooden terrace, its tropical theme, its fairy lights coming on at night and pink walls this venue promises good fun. The bar staff is very friendly and come up with some good cocktails, you can also have a bit of grub: burgers and chips are the only things on the menu. Seems appropriate for this rooftop! The view on the shard is a small bonus and a reminder of where you really are. You can get lost for the night but not forever! We give a big thumbs up for this cool rooftop bar in Waterloo.

The Drinks

Bar Elba has everyone sorted in terms of drinks: all sorts of wine, bubbles, beers, cocktails even served in some jugs to share! Love the idea and in relation to the theme.

“COOL ROOFTOP IN WATERLOO, BURGERS AND JUGS OF COCKTAILS IS ALL YOU NEED TO GET LOST ON THIS ROOFTOP UNTIL THE EARLY HOURS OF THE MORNING.”

Bar Elba – Rooftop Bar, Cocktails and Dip & Flip’s Mouth-Watering Burger and Gravy Goodness

Drunk on power, Napoleon almost achieved his goal of European domination, but he got himself exiled to the Mediterranean island of Elba. He took 600 of his closest mates and his favourite horse, Marengo, with him. He stayed for 300 days. Party. Island.

Tonight Josephine

Joséphine knew what she wanted, she made her own rules and didn’t give a damn what anyone thought. She started as a nobody but with sass, hustle and a little bit of luck, she became the Empress of the French.
